Are you someone who is interested in demonstrating hospitality and assisting in resettling in a new country?
At present, we offer a Phone Buddy Program, recognizing that the biggest challenge in learning a new language is listening and speaking without the benefit of facial or body cues!
Are you interested in becoming a Phone Buddy Mentor and spend 30 minutes per week in a telephone conversation with a newcomer for a period of 8 weeks? Please email your interest!
Helping with preparation for IELTS
Are you interested in helping newcomers prepare for their English equivalency exams?
As refugees and immigrants trying to find their ways into the Canadian workplace, they are often required to successfully complete the IELTS (The International English Language Testing System) exam as proof of English proficiency.
